Year 10 and 11 DRESS CODE

  • Formal business suit

  • Formal shoes or plain black trainers with no logos

Female

  • Formal business suit (skirts must be at least to the knee, no stretchy lycra skirts Femaleallowed, trousers must be full length).
  • Formal blouse or shirt
  • Formal shoes (you must be able to polish them) or black leather footwear.
  • Girls wishing to wear the Islamic dress should wear a simple silhouette jilbab and a hijab which should not be too colourful.  Both garments should not be over embellished. A formal business jacket will need to be worn.

Jackets may be removed in warm conditions. Scarves may be worn outside the buildings but must be removed once inside.

In Enrichment, students are expected to conform to the expectations on kit of the site where they participate in the lessons.

Practical Subjects

For Academies that are taught practical subjects i.e. Construction, full PPE (Personal and Protective Equipment) will be provided by the Academy. PPE must be worn at all times during practical sessions and any damage that may affect its performance must be reported to the teacher immediately in order for a replacement to be arranged. Failure to comply with the PPE requirement may lead to a sanction or the student being removed from the course if there are persistent failures to comply with the wearing of PPE.

Construction

Construction students will be given a branded fleece, work trousers and safety boots that must be worn as their dress code. Students must not wear alternative garments. Students will be expected to wear a plain (unbranded) black or navy blue T shirt.

A Harris Aspire uniform is provided free of charge the expectation is that the uniform is looked after but if there is any damage it will be replaced by the academy.
