Harris Academies
All Academies in our Federation aim to transform the lives of the students they serve by bringing about rapid improvement in examination results, personal development and aspiration.

Curriculum

01024009_bwHarris Aspire will be staffed by the best of the Harris Federation, with outstanding teachers from every Harris Academy working with us to support our students.

When students arrive at Harris Aspire, we will work with them to assess in detail their unique needs for learning and support.

Their curriculum, teaching styles and specialist support will be fully personalised. Students in Year 11 and our Sixth Form will be set by ability in core subjects and will be able to move between sets at different points in the academic year.

All students will spend at least five hours a week in English and Maths, with literacy and numeracy skills developed in other lessons too.

In Year 11 and Sixth Form, all students will be enrolled on GCSE examination courses in English, Maths and Science as well as a choice of vocational courses in Business, Sport, Health & Social Care, ECDL and Hair & Beauty.

Alternatively, students could be supported to take the Ebacc with an offer of a language as well as History or Geography.  There will also be opportunities to join classes at other Harris Academies for certain subjects.

For Sixth Formers wishing to work in schools, we will be offering paid Apprenticeships in Harris Academies as premises staff, technicians, classroom assistants and administrative staff.
